Important Service Update
Beginning Monday, August 24 we will be discontinuing our Flex Route. This was a difficult decision, but after analyzing our system, we feel it’s in the best interest of the passengers as well as the transit system. Most trips will no longer require transfers. Transfers may still be necessary for some longer trips.
We will also be launching the use of our mobile app. This will allow passengers to use the scheduling app for booking their trips without needing to contact Dispatch. We will have more information coming out soon on this service.
How will this affect me? (passengers)
Most trips will now be point-to-point. This means you will be picked up at one location and taken to your destination. No transferring buses.
* Please note. Some longer trips may require transfers.
What do I need to do if I have a recurring trip on the Flex Route?
You don’t need to do anything. Our dispatchers are working on rescheduling trips and schedules. You can expect to hear from dispatch with any changes to your schedule prior to August 24.
How will I get across the county now?
Most trips will no longer require transfers. Some occasions may require a transfer and you will be notified when scheduling.
Example: Frankfort to Interlochen, may require one transfer at the Benzie Bus Station.
What if I have a question?
You can still reach out to dispatch. We are here to help you! We understand that changes are not fun but really do feel this will be the best moving forward.
